The first images of Mass Effect, currently being developed for iPhone and published by EA have been leaked and are displayed here right in this very post for your viewing pleasure.
Dubbed Jacob’s Story, Mass Effect for iphone is said to be a kind of prologue to upcoming Mass Effect 2 that will be released for Xbox 360 and PC in the future.
As can be seen (just about) in the screen shot the game is a top-down 2d style shooter with nicely cartoony hand-drawn cut scenes.
Mass Effect will launch in the App Store within iTunes at a date to be confirmed. However, a price of £1.79 is hotly tipped as being the amount you’ll need to part with to experience the couple of hours gameplay the title will provide.

Anyway, we’re doing one regardless. The podcast is scheduled to be recorded late Saturday afternoon and we should have it up on the site and in iTunes by Sunday evening at the latest.
Its been a couple of weeks since we’ve been able to record the show so we’ll have lots to talk about, including a very interesting email we received from the states.
