ABOUT
We thought we’d better give you a little bit of background information about who we are what we do and why we think you will like our new podcast, so here goes.
Ian Hazeldine
I’m a full-time web developer and designer during normal working hours. I’ve had a love of videogames since the age of 8 and have owned many systems including Spectrum, C64, Atari ST, Megadrive, SNES, PS1, 2 & 3, Dreamcast, N64, Gamecube, Xbox, 360, Wii, DS and PSP.
I originally came up with the idea of us doing a podcast and hosting our own site just for fun. Rob and I have spent many an evening discussing various things related to videogames so I thought why not share our musings with other people? I suggested the idea to Rob and he was just as excited as I was to do it. So we did!
I’m married to my lovely wife Catherine (Kate) who I recently made very happy by moving the router, NAS drive and our Windows Home Server out of the living room and upstairs to the spare bedroom.
Rob Davenport
I work full-time at one of the UK’s biggest computer superstores. I have a lot of knowledge about videogames and systems as well as PC systems and hardware.
Like Ian I have owned several systems during my gaming life. I think the only system I’ve owned that Ian hasn’t is an Amstrad computer back in the 80’s. Generally I’m better at gaming than Ian is - proven by the fact that he regularly calls me up whenever he’s stuck on a game hoping I have the answer for him (why he doesn’t just read gamefaqs I don’t know?).
Besides gaming my interests include reading (graphic novels are a favourite of mine), watching movies and listening to music. I have a girlfriend who I’ve been with for almost 2 years now who puts up with my gaming addiction yet somehow still manages to love me.
We hope that you guys will find our efforts to be entertaining and informative. If you want to leave a comment or opinion about any of our postings, or our podcast then please feel free to do so.
